TL/DR - We welcome the new backers, we look at an expanded book, and briefly discuss the stretch goals!

Hey Backers,

Before I dive into this update, I wanted to take a moment to welcome all of our new backers. We're marching toward an expanded book because of you! So thank you! Woohoo!

Expanding the Campaign Primer

As we move ever closer to our next stretch goal (at 20k), which extends the World of Alessia Campaign Primer to 240 pages, I want to start talking about what it's going to look like, what it brings to your game table, and what we're planning to add via digital stretch goals over the next year.

This more substantial primer will include:

• 20 species.
• 4 new classes - The Marauder, the Psion, the Seer, and the Tecker.
• Expanded rules for gaining extra familiars.
• An expanded skill section!
• Expanded lore about the specific regions, the Empire of Xian, the Shadows of Venn, the Church of Light, and more.
• The World of Alessia Character sheet.
• More spells and info on using crystals to power your magic.
• An expanded selection of monsters, foes, and NPCs to challenge your players with.
• All of this material presented in a beautifully streamlined, full-color book.

Stretch Goals!

We're also going to bring you several bonus items as digital stretch goals to make running games set in the World of Alessia a lot easier. We currently have the following planned (in addition to everything we've already added):

• A World of Alessia NPC sheet - Easily tracks 1-3 connected NPCs on a single character sheet.
• A World of Alessia GM planning sheet - Plan out plots, make notes about your game session, and adjust the narrative to align your story with your players' decisions.
• World of Alessia GM Inserts (both) - A collection of the essential tables, charts, and bits GMs usually keep on their screens.
• 100+ Digital tokens for virtual tabletop play - This was a smart backer request! 
• Considering all of the beautiful art we have, it only makes sense to get as much out to GMs as possible so they can tell their stories. 
• New fiction set in the World of Alessia by fantasy author Erik Scott De Bie with matching, mechanical content.

In short, we want to make sure the backers who have pledged for stretch goals get the best value we can offer at that pledge point!

Of course, if you pledged as a Dragonsworn, you get all this PLUS all of our planned releases through 2020.

Our current goal is to make as much of our support material available as possible via stretch goals, so backers get all the tools they need to run excellent games set in the World of Alessia! We want people jumping into games as quickly as possible, too. So, if we've got a map ready for an adventure that's releasing later in the fall, we're going to make that map available early for backers so they can use that map for their home game, even if they're not running an official World of Alessia episode.

This is just the beginning...

Although the funding portion of this campaign will be coming to an end tomorrow, I think it's important to remind all of you we're just getiting started. The World of Alessia is massive, as is the larger universe that surrounds it. Welcome to Alessia!
